Oppia is committed to ensuring future generations inherit a healthy planet. As part of our approach, we look to minimise our ‘service footprint’ and educate the children as they leave their ‘first footprints’ and begin to engage in the world around them.

Recycling, reducing and reusing are the foundations of all that we do, and our First Footprints Program enables the children to participate in opportunities to learn about preventive strategies, recycling behaviours and sustainable practices.

As a service, we have a commitment to using natural and recycled materials in our curriculums wherever possible and practising resource saving strategies in our management of electricity, water, cleaning products and food scraps.

We are also committed to sourcing ethically produced resources and furniture that support our focus on recycling, reducing and reusing, and value our memberships with environmental resource groups such as Reverse Truck.
